Alum’s Emily cowper Article published
Emily Cowper, ENVD 2018, is excited to share this article she wrote for the December 2018 edition of The Network, a magazine that features various topics in Commercial Real Estate. Emily works as a Creative Services Associate with Lord Green Strategies, in Dallas, TX. Her office recently hosted USGBC CEO Mahesh Ramanujam.
After filling out dozens of job applications upon graduation from Auburn in May 2018, Emily received an offer to work for a boutique sustainability consulting firm in Dallas, Texas that values creativity, environmental stewardship, and employee health & well-being. As the Creative Services Associate at LORD Green Real Estate Strategies, she is able to embrace many design disciplines including graphic, architectural, and environmental, all concerned with the visual aspects of communicating information and creating experiences that connect people to place. Emily designs and creates high-quality deliverables including comprehensive sustainability reports, marketing materials, and LEED post-certification documentation for LORD Green’s clients, who hold some of the largest commercial real estate portfolios in the world.
In the future,Emily hopes to advance her career in commercial real estate by pursuing a masters degree in Real Estate Development & Finance. She is currently a LEED Green Associate, and planning to take the LEED AP Building Operations and Maintenance exam next month.
